its amazing how much one's looks can affect another's perceptions

when we see a pretty lady.. we go.. omg! she is so pretty.. i envy her. omg how i wish i could be as pretty or as slim as her. 
and guys go. omg. she is so pretty.. if only she is my gf. 

but maybe. 
thatz about all one's looks does. 

a good first impression.

a truly beautiful or handsome person.. 
is truly beautiful or handsome from the inside

its not that a person with good looks is not good inside.
but 
if that person is pretty. and if she is a really good and nice person... den. she simply blooms and the longer you know her/him, the better that person looks to you

its not that a person who is ugly at first sight is going to be ugly forever
if he/she is of good character, with a sincere heart. who treats everyone with gentleness and kindness.
then, that person is going to bloom as well. and the more you get to know him/her, the better he/she looks. the more he/she becomes handsome/beautiful.

and likewise, the same goes for a person who is able to attract the eyes of millions of others. but yet, draw no one's heart to her.
there are always some ppl in this world who looks the best, perhaps they r rich, they r famous, they have the best figure, the best looks naturally. but if their character sucks. 
all they end up looking is.. hideous. 


come to think of it ...at work,
i seemed to have made very wrong first impressions.. 
not in terms of looks. but in terms of their characters at the first few interactions
people whom i tot were genuinely nice and helpful turned out otherwise as time lapsed.. 
and people whom i didnt really like at the beginning because i tot they were either unfriendly or self-proclaiming.. ended up over the weeks as ppl whom i can relate more to.. and ppl who were just. who they were. no fake fronts. they just said what they wanted to. did what they usually did. talked to you because you were you, and not because of your rank, or because of how the benefits they could get from befriending you. they were simply.. sincere. .. at least up till today .. lol
im not gg to be skeptical and tink that all humans are seriously self centered and calculate everything in terms of costs and benefits.. even though they are many or should i say more and more ppl evolving to be humans of this nature.which is quite a sad fact of life.
bt still. i sincerely believe, people who are truly good inside are still aplenty in this current society.
and hopefully, they would be able to spread their influences to more of humankind and help inculcate in them better values than what is being taught or proclaimed nowadays. 





been wanting to blog about this topic for ages..
FRIENDS.

this is because.. something wrong is occurring in our current society
n that is
people. adults. seniors. tells us.. 
when u go out to work. ok even in schools. u gotta make friends
because these are the people you are going to need. 
to depend on
to find in times of trouble
to provide that shoulder for you to place ur head
to give u a pat on the back when u did a great job
so on n so forth
bt
this is SO WRONG
why are they teaching us the NEED to make or have friends
do we make friends because we NEED them or WANT them to help us do sth. or EXPECT them to teach us what they know?
this is really topsy turvy.. ends up. what they r teaching us is how to benefit oneself. 
thats it.
its not selflessness.
its plain selfishness. 

its kind of confusing. but ya..
friends are there to help u n guide u along. 
BUT
that shouldnt be WHY u make friends
u dont make friends because u NEED them. or u WANT friends .. 

i strongly believe that u make friends simply because u make friends.
which means
at the back of ur mind
there shouldnt be a rationale about making friends with a particular person that concerns your own personal benefit.

its the same as 
why or how we make friends during our teenage times 
compared to why n how adults in the working world seem to make friends because they may one day need the help of their "friend"
its v different. 
the thought behind making a friend
if u r planning to befriend this person for a personal benefit be it now or in the future. pls dont label that person as ur friend. its derogatory to the word "friend".
u can perhaps label that person as.. maybe ur colleague? or ppl who r part of ur social network? or ur partner at work?
no doubt friends are always there to help u and bring joy into ur life.
but u DONT make a friend just because they do that for u.
get it?
well i guess. many dont. 
it seems like im talking rubbish. 
but think back on how u made friends with ur current good friends. 
u just magically became friends! seriously!
n tink about some of ur colleagues at work... r they really ur friends or r they just colleagues? well of cos it varies from individual to individual. 
some treat their colleagues as friends. friends whom they share things with. help each other etc. 
but there are some that treat their colleagues as friends. because they want them to share their workload. or to help them. 
its different. 
if u can see it. 
if u cant. den well.. too bad. 





















so much for attempting to study law today.
that i didnt even touch the law notes
crap. haha!

but it was great to catch up with batch ppl n christine =)
talk until my throat so tired
n totally knocked out for two hours after reaching home... 

supposed to study an hour of law today. but i guess
gotta push it to tomorrow!
time to change n get ready for work =) 
night shift.
